Fawnda Slone Obituary

       Fawnda Slone, 62, of Moores Hill passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. Fawnda was born Tuesday, April 18, 1961, in Batesville; daughter of Lois (Collins) Slone. Fawnda worked as an administrative assistant at Hoosier Hills Water. She was a member of Bridge of Hope Worship Center. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Okaloosa Island and loved the ocean. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers, listening to music, and watching the hummingbirds. Fawnda most of all cherished spending time with her family.

       Fawnda will be missed by the father of her children Gary Gress; daughters Sherri Penny and Sarah Searcy; siblings Rick Slone, Debbie (Patrick) Terry, Terry (Gena) Slone; grandchildren Carlie (Shaune Turner) Knotts, Mala Penny, Alexus Knotts, Star Searcy, and Jaxson Searcy, great- grandchildren Avyana Sandoval, Carter Bihlmire, and Kam’Breyon Turner; nephew TJ (Krissie) Slone; niece Tara (Jason) Slone; and many more nieces and nephews.

       Fawnda was preceded in death by her mother Lois Slone, sister Naomi Gress, and grandparents Mala and Sephus Collins.

       A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will follow at 7:00 PM, with Gail Greathouse officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Fawnda to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
