Anna Mae (Barger) Sizemore

       Anna Mae “Granny” (Barger) Sizemore, 85, of New Trenton passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Anna was born on Tuesday, November 1, 1938, in Saul, Kentucky; daughter of Burley and Myrtle (Carmack) Barger. Anna married the love of her life, Donald Sizemore, on August 29, 1959, and he preceded her on September 20, 1982. Anna was known as “Granny” to all, and was known to always have loving, open arms for anyone. Anna enjoyed cooking, gardening, and shopping. Most of all, Anna cherished spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren.

       Anna will be missed by her children Shafter (Annette) Sizemore of Brookville, Patricia “Pat” (Luther) Davidson of Stinnett, Kentucky, Wanda (Rick) Davidson of New Trenton, Donna Gibson of Oneida, Kentucky, Bonnie (Aaron) Watson of Moores Hill, Thelma (Shannon) Jarrett of Milan, and Clayton (Shelly) Sizemore of Moores Hill; sisters Dorothy Barger of Richmond, Kentucky and Margie Arnett of Cincinnati; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 3 great- great-grandchildren.

       Anna was preceded in death by her parents Burley and Myrtle Barger; husband Donald Sizemore; twin brother Burley Barger Jr.; sister Ellar Baker grandparents Ira and Tennessee Barger; son-in-law Darrell Gibson; granddaughter Angel Watson; and great-granddaughter Alexis Watson.

       Services will be held privately by the family. Memorials may be given in honor of Anna to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
